Actichem Stone Sealer Pro (AP172) is a premium water-based penetrating sealer formulated to protect natural stone and porous masonry from water, oil, food and beverage stains, grease, biological growth, efflorescence, pollution and weathering.

Advanced fluorochemical polymer technology penetrates the substrate to create a highly water- and oil-repellent barrier while maintaining the stone's natural appearance. Its vapour-permeable formulation allows moisture vapour to escape, helping reduce moisture entrapment within the substrate.

Suitable for interior and exterior applications, Stone Sealer Pro is ideal for fine stone floors and walls, patios, walkways, outdoor features, concrete and clay paving.

Surface Preparation

Always read and understand the SDS before use and pre-test in an inconspicuous area for substrate sensitivity.

Existing stone and grout must be completely clean, dry and free from chemical residues.

New installations must be fully cured before sealing. Allow a minimum of 48 hours, although some concrete installations may require up to 7 days. Confirm curing requirements with the relevant structural engineer where applicable.

Do not apply in direct sunlight. Application temperature should be between 10°C and 28°C. Do not apply if temperatures exceed 40°C or rain is expected within 2 hours. If rain has preceded application, allow the surface to dry completely for 24 hours.

Highly absorbent surfaces may require additional coats.

Directions for Use

1. Apply 1–3 coats generously using a polish applicator, roller or suitable sprayer, working in manageable sections of approximately 15m².
2. Ensure even coverage and completely saturate the surface.
3. Maintain a visibly wet liquid film on the surface for at least 1 minute.
4. Allow approximately 5–10 minutes for absorption, then move excess product onto the next section using a squeegee.
5. If additional coats are required, allow 20–30 minutes before reapplication.
6. After the final coat, use absorbent towelling or an applicator to remove any remaining surface residue.
7. For dried residue, lightly moisten the towel with methylated spirits to assist removal.
8. Allow 12 hours before returning the area to traffic and keep dry for 24 hours.
9. Full cure is achieved in approximately 24–48 hours.

Coverage

Coverage varies depending on substrate porosity:

• Highly porous/open substrates: approximately 5–15m²/L per coat
• Dense/less porous substrates: approximately 10–20m²/L per coat

Large concrete areas should be treated according to a predetermined coverage rate using suitable spraying or application equipment.

Expected Wear & Maintenance

Stone Sealer Pro provides long-lasting protection, with actual service life depending on application quality, stone type, weather exposure, traffic and cleaning methods.

For areas exposed to harsh conditions, reapplication every 2–3 years is recommended.

Avoid prolonged use of solvents, strong acids and strong alkalis to help maximise sealer performance. Actichem ProNeutro is recommended for routine maintenance cleaning.

Important: Stone Sealer Pro is not designed for sub-terrain waterproofing.
