Crete Clean – Safe-Acid Concrete & Grout Residue Remover

Crete Clean is a high-performance “safe-acid” cleaner formulated to remove concrete, grout, limescale and efflorescence residues from equipment and hard surfaces. Its advanced acid-replacement chemistry delivers powerful residue removal without relying on traditional harsh acids such as hydrofluoric, hydrochloric or sulphuric acid.

Ideal for concrete mixing and transportation equipment, builders cleans, restoration projects, tile cleaning and construction clean-up, Crete Clean effectively breaks down stubborn cement and grout residues, concrete splashes and mineral deposits.

Its biodegradable, phosphate-free formulation provides a more manageable alternative to traditional acid cleaners, with significantly improved corrosive characteristics when used as directed. Suitable for man-made ceramic and porcelain tiles. Use with care on sandstone, quarry tiles, terracotta, grout and slate.

Not recommended for acid-sensitive surfaces, including engineered stone, terrazzo, marble, limestone, granite and other natural stone.

Crete Clean has an improved corrosion profile on ferrous and non-ferrous metals compared with traditional acid cleaners. However, prolonged contact with low-pH solutions can still cause corrosion, particularly on submerged metals, and polished metal surfaces may show marking. Always pre-test before use.

How to Use

Always read and understand the SDS before use. Wear suitable protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing.

Heavy-Duty Cleaning:

• Dilute 1 part Crete Clean with 4 parts water.
• Apply using a brush or suitable application equipment.
• Allow approximately 10 minutes dwell time.
• Agitate thoroughly.
• Rinse using a high-pressure washer or hose.

Light-Duty Cleaning:

• Dilute approximately 1:20 with water.

To help prevent oxidation on freshly cleaned metal surfaces, rinse using a 1:100 solution of Tile & Grout Cleaner Pro.

Important: Crete Clean is not suitable for use in concrete batching systems where wastewater is reused for concrete manufacture.
