Actichem CTR is a powerful professional coffee and tannin stain remover formulated for carpets, wool and upholstery. Its advanced low-pH, metabisulphite-based chemistry is designed to tackle stubborn coffee, tea, tannin, dye and beverage stains, as well as difficult browning and water marks.

The specialised formulation combines metabisulphite, low-pH compounds, wetting agents and emulsifiers to penetrate fibres and help break down challenging stains. CTR is also effective for treating cellulosic browning caused by alkaline contamination and flood damage.

Suitable for professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, Actichem CTR can be used neat for severe stains or diluted for lighter contamination and upholstery applications.

Application Areas & Surface Suitability

Actichem CTR is designed for carpet and fabric cleaning, including wool and synthetic fibres.

It is suitable for most wool and synthetic fabrics and carpeting, except stain-resistant nylon. Always pre-test in an inconspicuous area before application, particularly on delicate or colour-sensitive materials.

The product has a distinctive metabisulphite odour. Suitable personal protective equipment should be worn during use.

Dilution

• Severe stains: Ready to use.
• Light stains & upholstery: Dilute 1:1 with clean water.

How to Use

1. Use Actichem CTR undiluted for severe contamination, or dilute 1:1 with clean water for lighter stains and upholstery.
2. Spray the solution onto the affected fibre or fabric until thoroughly wetted.
3. Agitate using a carpet rake or suitable upholstery cleaning brush.
4. Allow 10–20 minutes reaction time.
5. Rinse extract using an appropriate acidic rinse or emulsifier solution.
6. Allow the area to dry completely. Increase ventilation to assist drying where required.

Important

Do not mix Actichem CTR with any other cleaning solution.

Always pre-test for colourfastness and substrate sensitivity before use.
